Inspired by a classical form echoing the full shape of the moon, the Moon Urn was created in collaboration with Portland, Oregon based ceramicist Wil Labelle of Terra Noir Pottery. Wil brings decades of technique to this modern translation of a prized ritualisticvessel. Serene in character, each urn is thrown by hand on a pottery wheel from white stoneware. A minimal lid nestles gently into the larger body. The Moon Urn is twice-dipped in a soft white and glossy blue glaze combination, a soft white and glossy graycombination or a visually complex gray shino.
Each piece is unique due to its handcrafted nature.
